Cookie policy
Last updated on November 1, 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones are used on stravos.io and how to manage your choices. We chose a lean website: by default, no advertising or tracking cookie is set.
Article 1 – What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. It is used to remember information (a choice, a preference) or to measure traffic. Other trackers (browser local storage, pixels) follow the same rules.
Article 2 – Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the website to work and do not require your consent:
- stravos_consent: remembers your cookie choices – duration: 6 months – set by stravos.io.
- pll_language: remembers the display language (French or English) – duration: 1 year – set by stravos.io (Polylang translation plugin).
- security or load-balancing cookies that the hosting provider may set to protect the website – duration: session.
No login cookie is set for visitors: WordPress administration cookies only concern the team that manages the website.
Article 3 – Audience measurement cookies
With your consent, we may use an audience measurement tool to see which pages are visited and improve the website. These cookies are only set after you consent and can be refused without affecting your browsing.
As of the date of this policy, no audience measurement tool is active on the website. If we enable one, this page will be updated (tool name, cookies set, retention of 13 months at most) and you will be asked for your consent.
Article 4 – Third-party services
The share buttons (LinkedIn, Facebook), the booking button and the messaging button (WhatsApp) are plain links: they set no cookie unless you click them. Once on those services, their own cookie policies apply. The video on the home page is hosted on our own website and sets no cookie.
Article 5 – Managing your choices
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse or customise non-essential cookies. Refusing is as easy as accepting. You can change your choice at any time using the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.
You can also set your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may, however, affect how the website works.
Article 6 – How long your consent is valid
Your choice is kept for 6 months. After that, or if we add a new type of cookie, the banner is shown to you again.
Article 7 – Contact
